CHRISTMAS DAY HARBOUR SWIM – 398 SWIMMERS, ANOTHER RECORD!

A few thousand people lined the harbour to witness this annual Lions event where a record 398 swimmers took the plunge to raise £20,000 for a whole host of national and local charities.

The Mayoress, Caroline Churchill, raised £1,500 for her chosen charities, MV Freedom and The Merchant Navy Association. We also know that two chaps raised £3115 for Cancer Research UK.
