Lions Donate £550 to ‘Kids Cancer Charity’

Weymouth & Portland Lions are delighted to support this appeal by the charity to support a caravan holiday for a Weymouth family who have a child who has been diagnosed with cancer and has been undergoing cancer treatment. A thank you from the Lions

Weymouth & Portland Lions say thank you to Hope Church for the use of the church rooms for Registration at their Christmas Day Harbour Swim. This year, for the first time, rooms above the church were made available for registration which made it a lot easier to cope with the ever increasing numbers of swimmers. CHRISTMAS DAY HARBOUR SWIM – 398 SWIMMERS, ANOTHER RECORD!

A few thousand people lined the harbour to witness this annual Lions event where a record 398 swimmers took the plunge to raise £20,000 for a whole host of national and local charities.
