Weymouth & Portland Lions are delighted to support this appeal by the charity to support a caravan holiday for a Weymouth family who have a child who has been diagnosed with cancer and has been undergoing cancer treatment.

The charity are currently caring for 7 children and their families from Dorset The idea is to take the whole family away for a Compassionate Care break to sometimes relieve the stress of having to attend hospital(s) for continuous treatment.The breaks often unite the whole family and their feeling of belonging by giving then time away as a family in beautiful surroundings.

The charity also puts the family in touch with the local paediatric oncology hospital should they need one in an emergency.

These photographs are of the Lydstep (near Tenby) caravan, it’s wonderful location and a happy young boy with a heart melting smile. These are from families that have stayed at our the caravan and have kindly given us permission to allow them to be published.
