LIONS SPEND WISE AND DONATE TO SAFEWISE

Weymouth & Portland Lions Club have donated £500 to the SafeWise Charity. Lions President Roger Hogbin said “SafeWise do excellent work at the Weymouth Community Safety Centre, bringing a variety of risk scenarios to life; including simulating fire and road risks in very realistic settings, equipping people with vital and practical life skills. The Lions are delighted to be able to give some financial support using money raised from their events, including the annual Beach Motocross and the Christmas Day harbour swim”

SafeWise Centre Manager, Ben Heath, said “We would like to thank the Weymouth & Portland Lions Club for their generous donation of £500 to our SafeWise Charity. This money will help us deliver and develop our ‘Skills for Life’ education programmes to thousands of people from a wide cross section of the community”.
