LIONS VARIETY SHOW

On 30th November it was curtain-up for the 44th Lions Variety show at the Pavilion Theatre in     Weymouth. After a no-show last year because of Covid, members of Weymouth & Portland Lions Club were itching to get back on stage and back under the lights once again for this popular event in the club’s calendar. Acts included, Let’s Dance who kicked the show off followed by pianist Tamara Konstantin and then the Wyke Ukedelics. The first half of the show was brought to a close by the Wessex Musical Theatre.

The Decadettes got the second half of the show moving again followed by AnnieMac & Norman. The headline act for the evening was local group Replay with a special guest appearance from local lad and great Lion’s supporter, Ben Waters. The evening finally came to a foot tapping end with all performers on stage taking a bow in front of an audience of 450. All the performers on the night gave up their time for free in support of this great annual show. A bucket collection after the show raised £480.
