Weymouth & Portland Lions have donated a set of new wheels for Sian Moorcroft’s specialist wheelchair.

A grateful Sian, from Nottington, said “Thank you so much for my new wheels, due to my life-limiting condition, Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type II, I rely on my wheelchair, without The Lions Clubs help I would have lost my independence to do the things I love to do.”

Roger Hogbin commented “Sian is a very inspirational and remarkable young lady and all the members of the Weymouth and Portland Lions Club are delighted to be able to give her some help, which we hope will enable her to live her life a bit more fully”

The Lions were able to use funds for this from their various events throughout the year, most recently the very successful Beach Motocross.
