LION NORMAN STAGLES RECEIVES HIGHEST AWARD FROM LIONS INTERNATIONAL

Lion Norman Stagles receives highest award from Lions International by being made a Melvin Jones Fellow, named after Lions Clubs founder Melvin Jones.

This is the highest award that Lions give to one of its members and is in recognition of many years of service. Norman has been a Lion for 34 years having joined Wellesbourne Lions Club in Jan 1982 and transferred to Weymouth in April 1983. Since then he has been President of his club twice and has held various posts in the Lions District. He set up the first Lions Street Busk in July 1994, which he has run ever since and has been involved in the annual Christmas show since joining the club and with his wife Ann has produced and directed the show for many years.

In addition to this Norman is ‘Front Man’ for local band ‘Replay’ and also devotes time to Citizens Advice.
